Shooting Stars
Music and photography are both salves for my soul. They connect my past, present, and future.
In the mid 80’s I started taking my camera to concerts and photographing local college bands. I was trying to photograph the feeling that I felt from the music. It wasn’t long after that the music industry changed the way photographers could work; limiting photos to only the first three songs. I didn’t like that constraint. I missed the freedom and creativity of chasing the music with my camera. Today, anyone is allowed to photograph and film an entire concert with their phone!
I have always aspired to capture a song in my photograph and make it sing.
